Mazes, Colors, and Jack-o’-Lanterns

Making of a Maze

August has been busy for us as we get ready for the last third of the year when all the holidays come at once. Even still, it was recently our eldest’s birthday, and he loves mazes, so I took a break from product work to make something special for him. I think it turned out really nicely:

The first step was creating the maze itself.

Next came a lot of work turning the image into a usable cut pattern.

I added ball bearings, an acrylic top, bright colors, and a silly, misaligned smile in the center. He loved it.

Colorful Card Trays

We have a variety of board game component organizers in our shop, including our single and double card trays. We had a special request to make four of our card trays using red and blue opaque stain and they turned out great!

Use our custom work form if you’d like a different finish than what we normally provide or if you have any other special requests. We’d be happy to consider what you have to say.

We have a few standard colors for our component trays and these single card trays are available now in our shop!

Getting Closer to Fall

In our last news update we introduced some pumpkin decorations and said we’d have more Autumnal products coming in the future. We’re working on a variety of cedar Jack-o’-Lanterns that you can use with electric candles.

Our first face turned out great, though we are still finishing our design. We are considering leaving these unfinished to have a lower price point, but we would gladly welcome your comments if you’d prefer a particular finish. It will help us introduce multiple options if we can hear what people are interested in seeing.

We hope we can introduce them next time.
